+As mentioned in the discussion on the renaming of the eta functions
+([\#3a8g5i]), the renaming of the η functions is not actually that
+straightforward either. As there can be multiple instances of η
+functions for the same variable, this means that one has to insert
+multiple new variables for the current variable. This means that the
+renaming has to take that into account, and may rename the registers to
+various different names.
