As mentioned in the discussion on the renaming of the eta functions
([\#3a8g5i]), the renaming of the η functions is not actually that
straightforward either. As there can be multiple instances of η
functions for the same variable, this means that one has to insert
multiple new variables for the current variable. This means that the
renaming has to take that into account, and may rename the registers to
various different names.
