These adders, like the ripple-carry and carry look-ahead adders perform
proper additions by propagating the carry throughout the number.
However, this comes at a cost of parallelism, because the carry has to
be propagated sequentially. Carry look-ahead adders are interesting
because they can predict the propagation of a carry within larger
blocks, and then only have to do the sequential carry propagation inside
each unit.
